The Department of Zoology at St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, in association with the Kerala State Biodiversity Board, organized a one-day seminar titled "Herpetofauna of Kerala." The event spread awareness and promoted conservation efforts related to the amphibians and reptiles of Kerala, particularly those endemic to the Western Ghats. The Head of the department, Ms. Nimila P. J welcomed the gathering. The seminar was officially inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Joseph Justin Rebello and the convenor of the seminar, Dr. Retina I Cleetus delivered the words of gratitude. The technical sessions started after a tea break by around 10.30 am with Dr. Sandeep Das (SERB-NPDF, University of Calicut) and Mr. N Jishnu (Research Scholar, University of Calicut) as the resource person.
