The Albertian Knowledge Summit 2025, the 9th Albertian Management Conference, was hosted by St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, Kerala, on January 30th and 31st, 2025. This prestigious international conference focused on the theme “Economic Growth & Sustainable Progress: Pathways to a Resilient Future.” The event aimed to bring together thought leaders, academics, professionals, and students to discuss innovative approaches to achieving sustainable development while fostering economic growth. The summit featured an impressive lineup of keynote speakers from diverse fields. Among them were Mr. Ulrich Hemel, Director of the Global Ethic Institute, Germany; Mr. Santhosh Varshney, Deputy General Manager (Environment) at BPCL Kochi; and Dr. Tamanna Dalwai, Senior Lecturer at Nottingham Business School, UK. These experts provided valuable insights on sustainable development, environmental innovation, and pathways to resilience. Alongside the keynote addresses, the event included panel discussions, which encouraged participants to explore the challenges and opportunities in promoting sustainability. Workshops on sustainable development were another major highlight of the summit. These workshops were led by resource persons such as Ms. Radha Gomaty, an actor and upcycler, and Mr. Jamshad C, the founder of Sirovat Handicrafts and Interiors, both of whom were committed to promoting sustainable practices in their respective fields. Additionally, creative entrepreneurs like Ms. Raeesa Manaal, founder of Beautiful Oops, shared their innovative projects, inspiring attendees to rethink how sustainability could be integrated into daily life and industries. Beyond speeches and workshops, the summit offered a variety of engaging activities, such as paper and poster presentations, environmental documentaries, and field visits. These initiatives provided participants with practical knowledge and insights into sustainable solutions. The event also emphasized the importance of knowledge-sharing, as it included book publications on sustainability topics. By creating a collaborative platform, the Albertian Knowledge Summit 2025 aspired to empower individuals and organizations to embrace sustainability as a cornerstone of economic growth and progress toward a resilient future. Key Highlights of the Conference – Inaugural and Keynote Sessions: Mr. Santhosh Vashney, DGM Environment, BPCL kochi, inaugurated the conference, Dr. Ulrich Hemel Director Global Ethic Institute, Germany joined us online to deliver the keynote session, 6 other eminent keynote speakers from diverse backgrounds shared their expertise on sustainability, economic growth, and global best practices. Paper Presentations: 48 Undergraduate (UG) student papers from management Departments 71 Postgraduate (PG) student papers 18 Faculty Papers - from AMITY University, FISAT B-School, Saintgits Institute of Management, Kottayam, Christ College, St. Theresa’s College, Cochin Arts and Science College. Case Study Presentations: 30 case studies on real-world sustainable business practices. SDG Poster Presentations: 16 poster presentations highlighting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Sustainability Workshops: 6 workshops Fashion and Upcycling Aquaponics Bamboo Products making Recycling Paper products Eco friendly handmade gifts Bottle art These aimed at equipping participants with practical skills for implementing sustainable initiatives. Collage Competition: A creative competition on the theme "Sustainable World." Field Visit: A visit to the industry Nitta Gelatin, Koratty was arranged to observe sustainability practices in action. Environment Documentaries: 64 short documentaries capturing sustainability efforts in Cochin City through the Youth Lens project.
