The talk was successfully conducted under the guidance of Mr. Nithin Sebastian, faculty coordinator. The programme commenced with the welcome speech by Mr. Nithin Sebastian, Assistant Professor, department of Computer Science. After the welcome speech, Dr. Haritha Rajeev, the resource person delivered a talk on research and academic writing. She outlined the five pillars of a research proposal, as well as some fundamental recommendations for academic writing. She also made clear distinctions between review papers and research papers, and even writing types. Finally, a model paper was provided to familiarize with all of the concepts. The main objective of this session was to equip participants with the skills to conduct rigorous research, critically analyze sources, and effectively communicate their findings in a scholarly manner.
