Albertian Knowledge Summit (AKS 2025) Activity Report Date: 5th February 2025 Venue: Mellano hall, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam Organized by: Department of Renewable Energy Introduction The Albertian Knowledge Summit (AKS 2025), a prestigious academic event, was successfully held on 5th February 2025 at Mellano Hall, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam. As a part of the International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research, the summit was organized by the Department of Renewable Energy and served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and collaboration in the field of sustainable energy. Programme Highlights Inaugural Ceremony (9:30 AM) The summit commenced with a formal inaugural session, graced by distinguished dignitaries who emphasized the significance of renewable energy research and cross-disciplinary collaboration. • Welcome Speech: Ms. Vijayalakshmi C G, Head of the Department, Renewable Energy • Presidential Address: Rev. Fr. Dr. Antony Thoppil, Chairman & Manager, SACA • Felicitation: Dr. Joseph Justin Rebello, Principal, SACA The inaugural session established an inspiring tone for the conference, setting the stage for an engaging and thought-provoking event. Expert Talks & Interactive Sessions Invited Talk 1 (10:00 AM) • Speaker: Dr. Sony Udayan, Post-Doctoral Fellow, CRANN, Trinity College, University of Dublin • Topic: "3D Printing Using LASER" • Introduction by: Dr. Anugop B, Assistant Professor, Department of Renewable Energy • The session provided in-depth insights into laser-based 3D printing technology, followed by an engaging interactive discussion where participants explored applications and advancements in this cutting-edge field. • Vote of Thanks: Adithyan P Nair, I B.Voc.RE Tea Break: 10:45 AM Invited Talk 2 (11:00 AM) • Speaker: Dr. Jincemon Cyriac, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Christ College (Autonomous), Irinjalakkuda, Kerala. • Topic: "LED: Assembly, Repair, and Applications" • Introduction by: Dr. Archana L S, Assistant Professor, Department of Renewable Energy • This insightful session provided an overview of LED technology, including its assembly and repair methodologies. Participants actively engaged in discussions, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the subject. LED Training Workshop (11:45 AM) • Conducted by: Dr. Jincemon Cyriac (Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Christ College (Autonomous), Irinjalakkuda, Kerala), Dr. Roshan Jose (Assistant Professor, Marian College, Kuttikanam), and Sadasivan M.J (Int.MSc Student, Marian College, Kuttikanam) • The workshop provided hands-on training on LED assembly and repair techniques, enabling participants to acquire practical skills in LED technology. • Vote of Thanks: Akshaya Anil, I M.Voc.REM Lunch Break: 12:45 PM Afternoon Session: Presentations & Closing Ceremony Oral & Poster Presentations (1:30 PM) • Researchers and students showcased their innovative research and findings in renewable energy systems, materials, and physics. These presentations stimulated insightful discussions and fostered academic collaboration. There were 3 oral online and 1 oral offline presentations, along with 9 poster presentations. A total of 80 participants attended the overall session, making it a highly interactive and engaging academic platform. Prize Distribution & Closing Ceremony (2:30 PM) • Outstanding contributions were recognized and awarded for excellence: o Best Oral Presentation Award: Sooraj Viswam, Research Scholar, School of Photonics, CUSAT. o Best Poster Presentation Award: Sandro Jossey, IIIrd year B.Voc.RE, St.Albert’s College, Ernakulam. • The winners received cash awards, acknowledging their remarkable research contributions. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Gincy K. Varghese, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Renewable Energy, St.Albert’s College, Ernakulam expressing gratitude to the esteemed speakers, dedicated organizers, and enthusiastic participants who contributed to the summit’s success. Conclusion AKS 2025 emerged as a resounding success, offering an enriching platform for researchers, academicians, and students to share their knowledge and ideas. The summit facilitated dynamic discussions, expert insights, and practical workshops, reinforcing the importance of sustainable energy research.
