As part of the Deeksharambh 2025 Induction Program, the Department of Logistics conducted a seminar on Human Values to instill ethical awareness and social responsibility among students. The session was led by an experienced legal professional to offer a perspective on values from both moral and legal viewpoints. The seminar began with a welcome speech by Ms. Nandana Raj who introduced the guest speaker and emphasized the importance of human values in both personal and professional life. The speaker was warmly welcomed by the faculty and students. The session was delivered by Adv. Advocate Swarna Thomas, Advocate at High court of Kerala, a respected legal professional with years of experience in public service and social justice. The speaker is well-known for their community outreach, advocacy for human rights, and work in legal education. The speaker spoke about the role of students as responsible citizens and future professionals in maintaining ethical conduct in their workplaces and society. Emphasis was placed on values in education, professional ethics in logistics, respect for law, and the importance of standing up against injustice. During the interactive segment, students asked questions related to ethics in professional settings, legal awareness, social responsibility, and career guidance in law and public service. The speaker addressed all queries with practical advice and encouraged students to be value-driven in decision-making. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Hari krishna , who expressed appreciation for the speaker’s time and wisdom. Gratitude was extended to the department and faculty coordinators for organizing the thought-provoking session. A memento was handed over to Advocate Swarna Thomas, by Ms. Jiya Benny, the Head of the Department of Logistics Management, as a token of appreciation for his insightful and inspiring session.
