The department of English organized a talk titled “The Journey of Passion and Purpose” to nurture the young minds towards venturing in to entrepreneurship. The talk was organized at the Mellano Hall at 11:30 am. The guest speaker Ms. Anupama Roy of eminent boutique Blocks and Prints and Ishika Maternity Store, Ernakulam spoke on her journey of becoming a successful entrepreneur amid extreme challenges. It motivated students and the gave them an overview of starting a business from an idea and taking it to the public. She also cleared the doubts and gave insights to the nuances of marketing and production as well. The welcome address was given by Dr. Nisha Thomji Varghese, Head department of English. Ms. Akshara Peter of III BA English gave the Vote of Thanks. The talk was a resounding success as students got a comprehensive idea about starting and developing a business from scratch. The talk touched on all the aspects of becoming and being an entrepreneur. The students interacted with the speaker and got their doubts cleared. Dr. Retina Cleetus, Vice Principal and Ms. Silda George, EDC, Coordinator were present.
