A Session on Sustainability in Retailing focusing on Doughnut Economics & Climate Change was conducted by the Department of Retail Management on 25th, June, 2024 in room no. 305, B block, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam. The session started at 1.55 pm in 3rd year Retail Management classroom with the welcome address by the final year student, Ms. Isha Lamiya. Then, the seminar was takeover by Mr. Simon Van Renssen, Assistant Professor, International Guest Speaker, St.Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam. The event aimed to deepen the understanding and explore actionable strategies to address pressing environmental & economic challenges. The class also included interactive workshops where participants could engage more deeply with the topics. The seminar concluded with a call to action, urging all participants to take concrete steps towards sustainability, embrace the principles of doughnut economics & actively work to mitigate climate change. The session ended at 5.45 pm with the vote of thanks delivered by the final year student, Merin Elizabeth Varghese for their valuable insights & precious time spend for the students.
